S3 raw store

Keep raw payloads in AWS S3, or any S3 compatible store that supports conditional writes.

By default raw payloads go to a folder (file:///var/lib/ohs/raw, the raw volume). Point OHS_RAW_STORE at a bucket instead:

.env
OHS_RAW_STORE=s3://bucket?endpoint=&region=&path_style=true

Conditional writes are required

A raw object is never overwritten: every write uses If-None-Match. The store must support it. ohs doctor writes and deletes a probe object to check that the store is usable.

Set the bucket and the usual AWS_* credentials in .env, and start without any S3 overlay:

.env
OHS_RAW_STORE=s3://my-ohs-raw?region=eu-west-3
AWS_ACCESS_KEY_ID=...
AWS_SECRET_ACCESS_KEY=...

For another S3 compatible service, add its endpoint, and path_style=true when it needs path-style URLs.

Back the bucket up with your provider's tools, together with the database and .env. See Backup and restore.
