Ask about your own numbers.
With a cloud account, a language model answers. Without one, Ask answers its suggested questions from today's numbers on the phone.

Prism turns what Apple Health already holds into sleep, recovery, strain, stress and energy scores. It's free, it's open source and it doesn't need an account.

Reads what these write to Apple Health
Your watch, ring or iPhone already records the data. Prism scores it on your device.
Your daily scores in rings, then what moved in the last 30 days.

Body, Mind and Environment. Fitness age, VO2 max, resting heart rate and HRV sit next to mood and daylight.

A journal with daily check-ins, and rituals for food, water, caffeine, supplements, fasting and mood.

With a cloud account, a language model answers. Without one, Ask answers its suggested questions from today's numbers on the phone.

Smart Alarm, Sleep Forecast, Caffeine Window, Social Jetlag and the rest, each one built on your data.

One app for four Apple platforms. On a bigger screen the tabs turn into a sidebar.

Screenshots show simulated data.
Your health data and logs stay on the device until you choose to sign in.
Prism has two modes, and you start in the one that needs no account. A few requests still leave the device. The main ones are below, and the privacy notes list every one.
Tap "Not now" on the first onboarding screen. Your Health data, journal, logs, scores and lab results stay on the device. In the build as shipped, the only request that carries anything about you to a service other than Apple's is the weather and air quality card, which sends a location rounded to about 11 km to Open-Meteo. Apple's MapKit gets a location rounded to about 1 km to name your place, and the middle of each group of this month's workout routes, rounded the same way, to name the places you train on the Territory page. MapKit also runs the city search and loads the map tiles.
Accounts, sync, Ask and the online article and news feed are part of Soma cloud. The public build ships without Soma's key, so they stay off until a key is set. With Soma's key set, the feed is fetched anonymously from the Soma project, its cover images load straight from the publisher's host (the CDC's, as the feed list stands), which sees your device's IP address, and signing in with Apple syncs your records and Apple Health samples. Ask sends your question and a short summary of your numbers to a language model.
Run the backend from the repository yourself and point the app at it.
Settings, Data, Export my data gives you one ZIP with a JSON file per record table and one NDJSON file per Apple Health metric.
Settings, Data, Delete my data removes your account and everything stored with it online. Prism never deletes anything from Apple Health.
A few other parts of Prism worth knowing about.
Add a blood test by photo, PDF or typed values. It's read on the device and you check every value before it's saved. From a panel, Prism gives informational estimates of biological age (Levine's PhenoAge) and cardiometabolic risk (the AHA PREVENT equations). They're informational and don't diagnose anything.
Every Apple Health reading by type, with its records, source and quality.
Scores, strain, vitals, fuel and a quick log on the Home Screen, plus Control Center buttons that log water or coffee.
A library of health articles, most of them adapted from NIH.
Checked on 2026-10-18. Every competitor cell is sourced in the full comparison in the repository, which also lists what each app does better.

We'd rather you know before you install it.
Its scores are only as good as what your watch, ring or iPhone writes to Apple Health.
The scores and estimates are for following your own trends.
There's no Apple Watch app or web version in this build, and no Android release yet. An Android version is in development. Mac and Vision Pro builds exist, but Apple Health data on those platforms hasn't been checked by hand.
Direct Oura, Whoop and Withings connections are written and switched off in this build. They're coming, along with restoring your journal and logs on a new phone. Reading those brands through Apple Health works today where the brand writes to Apple Health.
With the public build as it ships, accounts and Ask are off until a key is set.
It doesn't have the years of feedback the other apps have.
You need Xcode 27. The app targets iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27 and visionOS 27.
HealthKit has no data in the simulator, so values show as a dash there. Real numbers need a device.
