Most health numbers are hard to compare with each other. A reading taken in the morning after a good night is not the one taken at six after a long day. A scale on a soft carpet is not the same scale on a tiled floor. When the conditions move, the number moves with them, and you cannot tell which part of the change was you.
A watch sees part of you
A watch is always with you, which is its strength. It also sits on a wrist that moves, sweats and settles a little differently every day. It is good at trends in what it measures well, and blind to much of the rest.
A clinic sees you once a year
A check-up is thorough, but rare. A year is a long time between two points, and a lot can drift in between without anyone noticing.
One closed instrument
Soma Axon sits between the two. It is a pod you step into once a week for a short visit: the same light, the same cameras, the same posture, the same few questions. Because the instrument does not change, a difference from one week to the next is far more likely to be a difference in you.
What that gives you:
- A baseline that is yours. After a few visits, Soma knows your normal, not an average of strangers.
- Small changes you can see. A slow drift in sleep, recovery or strength shows up as a line, not as noise.
- A confidence on every number. When a reading is less certain, Soma says so.
