Chat with Ask Soma
Open Ask Soma, ask about your own readings and follow up, all from one tab.
Ask Soma is the chat inside the app. It answers from your own readings in Apple Health, works on your iPhone and says which readings it used.
Starting a chat
- Tap Ask Soma, the circle at the right end of the tab bar.
- Soma greets you with three suggested questions, built from today's numbers, like "Why is my HRV 48 ms today?" Tap one.
- Read the answer. The other suggestions stay underneath as follow-ups, so you can keep going with a tap.
What an answer looks like
- A sentence or two in plain words.
- A line starting From Apple Health, naming the readings the answer used, like HRV, resting heart rate and sleep.
- On some answers, a suggested move, like a breathing session or an earlier night. Guided sessions are on their way, and today's move is always on Pulse.
Starting over
Once a chat has started, a pencil button appears at the top right (New chat). Tap it for a fresh conversation. The earlier one stays in your history. See Your conversations.
