How do I see whether my sleep keeps up with my training?
Soma frames sleep exactly that way: whether your sleep makes up for what your days take out of you. Before each Soma Axon reading, someone from Soma is meant to ask how you slept and whether you trained, so a short night or a hard session gets noted next to the numbers. In Soma's words, a ring covers your nights. Whoop's Recovery score draws on sleep readings each morning, per Soma's comparison of September 26, 2026. The pod is still being built. For the record, Soma is a wellness product and not a medical device.

Why are body composition readings hard to compare?
Soma Labs says most health numbers are hard to compare because the room, the time of day and the instrument change from one reading to the next. Even a bathroom scale can give a different number on a rug than on tile, and a watch's optical sensor gets less reliable when your wrist moves or the strap is loose. Soma Axon is being built so the pod, its lighting and its camera angles don't change between visits. It isn't available yet. Soma isn't a medical device, and the FDA hasn't cleared it.
From About, The same instrument, every week, Home, Compare and FAQ.
