Your cycle isn't showing

Soma reads periods from Apple Health's Cycle Tracking. Log two, and allow Soma to read them.

The Cycle page says No cycle on record yet until Apple Health has periods Soma can read. Open it from the Cycle card, which you add to Today in Edit Today, or from All categories at the foot of Today.

What it needs

  1. Log periods in Apple Health. Open the Health app, find Cycle Tracking (Browse or Search), and add your periods there (or in the Cycle Tracking app, which writes to Health).
  2. Allow Soma to read them. Health app > your picture > Apps > Soma, then turn on Cycle Tracking.
  3. Give it two periods. One period on record is enough for a day count. Two give Soma your usual length, your phase and when the next period is due.

What you'll see

  • No cycle on record yet means Health has no periods, or Soma can't read them.
  • One period on record means Soma is waiting for a second.
  • The Cycle page asks you to log how today feels, so Soma can tell your cycle from a cold coming on.

Cycle Tracking is optional. If you leave it off, the card stays empty and nothing else in Soma changes.

If a reading looks off, talk to a doctor. Soma's cycle view is a wellness estimate from the periods you logged.
