A value shows a dash

Apple Health has nothing for it yet, or Soma can't read that category.

A dash means Soma has nothing to show. It isn't a zero.

Check these, in order

  1. Does something measure it? Blood pressure needs a cuff, body fat a smart scale, blood glucose a sensor. Connect your devices lists what measures what.
  2. Does that device write to Apple Health? Open the Health app, tap Browse, find the metric and look for recent values. If it isn't there, turn on the device's sync to Health (each brand's article shows how).
  3. Can Soma read that category? Health > your picture > Apps > Soma. Turn it on.
  4. Is it a score? Scores need about a week of nights. See Why your scores take a week.

A specific empty line

Some cards name what they're waiting on. Those have their own articles:

Still blank?

Some readings, like air quality and UV, aren't available yet and show a dash for everyone. If anything else stays blank after these checks, write to us.
