Connect Eight Sleep
How Eight Sleep Pod data can reach Soma through Apple Health, and how to check it does.
Soma reads Eight Sleep through Apple Health.
Turn it on
Eight Sleep's own help pages describe its Apple Health link mostly as a way to bring your watch or ring data into Eight Sleep. To check whether your Pod also writes your nights to Health:
- In the Eight Sleep app, open your settings and look for Apple Health among the connections. Turn it on and allow the categories it offers.
- Open the Health app, tap your picture, then Apps, then Eight Sleep, and see what it may write.
- After a night on the Pod, open Health, find Sleep, and look for Eight Sleep among the sources.
If Eight Sleep isn't listed as a source of Sleep, Soma can't see your Pod's nights. Your watch or ring still covers your sleep.
Good to know
- Wearing a watch or ring as well? Two devices then write sleep. Choose which counts: Doubled or mismatched readings.
- Your bedroom's temperature isn't shared with Health, so Soma's Bedroom, last night card stays blank for now.
If your Eight Sleep app doesn't offer what's described here, write to us with your app version.
