Connect Withings
Share your Withings scale, blood pressure cuff, ScanWatch or Sleep Analyzer with Apple Health, and Soma reads it.
Withings devices reach Soma through the Withings app (once called Health Mate), which shares with Apple Health. A direct connection is on its way, and shows as Soon in Soma's Health access page.
Turn it on
- Open the Withings app and tap your Profile.
- Tap Settings (the gear).
- Tap Export health data to Apple Health, then Next twice.
- Turn on the categories you want to share and tap Allow, then Done.
What Withings can share
Depending on your devices: weight, body fat, lean mass and BMI from a scale, blood pressure from a cuff, heart rate, HRV, ECG, blood oxygen, temperature and steps from a ScanWatch, and sleep and breathing disturbances from Sleep Analyzer.
In Soma, these fill the Biomarkers on Longevity: Body, and your weight and lean mass.
Good to know
- Withings says the sync isn't instant on iPhone and can take up to 15 minutes. To push it along, open the Withings app, switch to the Health app, then come back to Withings and pull down on its home screen.
- Steps typed into Health by hand aren't imported into Withings.
- Your scale is the best source for weight and body fat. Put it first: Doubled or mismatched readings.
Check it worked
Open the Health app, tap your picture, then Apps. Withings should be listed. Tap it to see what it may write. Then, in Soma, give it a minute and pull down on Today.
