When, where and how much
Will a Soma visit cost the same at a gym and a pharmacy?
There's no way to say yet, because Soma hasn't announced any prices. It has said one Soma account works at every pod wherever it stands. Prices will come out before the first pod opens, to the waitlist first. The pods are planned for gyms, pharmacies, workplaces, longevity clinics and Soma's own studio.
Does my employer pay for Soma if it's offered at work?
In Soma's plan for workplaces, the employer pays for Soma Axon as a benefit people use every week, and it never sees anyone's results. Members own what the pod reads. Soma is still choosing the first places to host a pod, and no prices have been announced.
From For organizations and Compare.
Is there a family plan for Soma?
Soma hasn't announced any plans or prices. Its Terms of Use say each account is for one person: you shouldn't share your account, and you should only add your own data. Prices will come out before the first pod opens, and the waitlist hears them first.
From Compare, Terms of Use and FAQ.
Can I pay per visit for Soma Axon?
Soma hasn't said how it'll charge, since no price is announced yet. It describes Soma as a weekly habit it'll price like one, and it promises to share prices before the first pod opens. The optional blood test will carry its own price as an add-on. Soma is a general wellness product.
How will I find out when Soma's prices are announced?
Join the waitlist. Soma says it'll share prices before the first pod opens and that the waitlist will hear them first. Waitlist messages go to the email you signed up with, and you can unsubscribe with the link in any of them. Soma Axon is still being built.

What does the Soma waitlist give me?
Early word. People on the waitlist will be among the first to hear when Soma Axon opens and when the app is ready, the first to hear where the first pod opens and the first to hear prices. Soma may also limit access to its beta by waitlist, invitation or capacity. Soma Labs, the Palo Alto company behind Soma, is still building the first prototype.

Does the Soma waitlist use cookies?
No. Soma keeps the details of your visit in your browser's session storage instead of a cookie, and they're cleared when you close the tab. Its website sets no advertising or analytics cookies, loads no third-party trackers and hosts its own fonts. Joining the waitlist collects the email you give plus technical details of the sign-up.
From Privacy Policy.
Why does Soma record my browser and device when I join the waitlist?
Soma says it uses the technical details of a waitlist sign-up to keep automated and abusive sign-ups out and to learn which channels bring people to Soma. Those details are kept as long as your waitlist email, except the IP address and the postal code and coordinates, which Soma removes after 12 months. Soma doesn't sell personal information.
From Privacy Policy.
Does contacting Soma through the partner form put me on the waitlist?
No. Soma's Privacy Policy says writing to it through the organizations or developers form doesn't add you to the waitlist. Soma uses those details to reply and to keep automated messages out. To hear when the first pod opens, you'd leave your email on the newsletter page instead.
From Privacy Policy and Waitlist.
What emails will I get after joining the Soma waitlist?
Soma says it sends waitlist and account-related messages, such as an invitation or a notice about its Privacy Policy. You'll also be among the first to hear when Soma Axon opens and when the app is ready, and prices reach the waitlist first. Every waitlist message includes an unsubscribe link.
From Privacy Policy and FAQ.
Is the Soma waitlist the same as its newsletter?
They share a page. Soma's waitlist lives on its newsletter page under the heading Know yourself, love yourself. It takes an email address so Soma can tell you when the first pod opens and when the app is ready. Soma Axon is being built now.
From Waitlist.
Does Soma sell my waitlist email?
No. Selling personal information isn't something Soma does, according to its Privacy Policy. It also doesn't use what it collects to advertise to you. Under California law's definitions, it says it doesn't sell or share personal information and hasn't in the past 12 months. Your waitlist email stays until Soma invites you or you ask for removal, for up to 24 months.
From Privacy Policy.
Does Soma keep sign-ups it turns away?
Briefly. Soma's Privacy Policy says sign-up attempts and inquiries it turns away, such as automated or invalid ones, are kept for 90 days. The waitlist form uses a bot check on your browser, and Soma uses sign-up details to keep automated and abusive sign-ups out.
From Privacy Policy.
Will I be invited off the Soma waitlist?
Soma's Privacy Policy describes invitations: it keeps a waitlist email until it invites you or you ask to be removed, and it sends waitlist messages such as an invitation. Its Terms also say access to the beta may be limited by waitlist, invitation or capacity. Soma Axon is still a prototype.
From Privacy Policy, Terms of Use and About.
What does "Know yourself, love yourself" mean on the Soma waitlist?
It's Soma's mission. The first half echoes know thyself, the Greek maxim inscribed at Delphi. Soma says the second half isn't from Delphi: it added love yourself because people tend to look after what they understand, and it wants Soma to help with the understanding. The line heads the waitlist for Soma Axon, which is still being built.
From Know thyself, Waitlist and About.
Can I join the Soma waitlist from outside the United States?
Soma's Terms say its services are offered only in the United States today, and Soma is for adults 18 and over located there. The waitlist is how people hear when the first pod opens and when the app is ready. Anyone planning to use Soma would need to meet those age and location requirements.
From Terms of Use and FAQ.
Does joining the Soma waitlist mean I'll get in?
Not automatically. Soma's Terms say it may limit access to the beta by waitlist, invitation or capacity. The waitlist does put you among the first to hear when the pod opens and when the app is ready. Soma Axon itself is still being built.
From Terms of Use, FAQ and About.
How will Soma contact me once I'm on the waitlist?
By email. Soma's Terms say notices to you go to the email on your account or your waitlist email, and you agree that Soma may communicate with you electronically. Waitlist messages can include an invitation or a notice about the Privacy Policy, and each one has an unsubscribe link.
From Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
Is the Soma waitlist sign-up protected from bots?
Yes. The sign-up form has bot protection that checks your browser for signs of automation, and Soma uses sign-up details to keep automated and abusive sign-ups out. Attempts it turns away are kept for 90 days. Soma's site sets no advertising or analytics cookies.
From Privacy Policy.
Is there a body scan where nobody sees my results but me?
Soma is designing Soma Axon that way. Members own what the pod reads, and a host venue sees how often the pod gets used, never anyone's results. At a workplace, the employer pays and never sees results either, and Soma's staff see an outline of your body in place of your skin photos. It's a general wellness product, and the pod isn't available yet.
